Beta
WebIPTV is in open testing on TestFlight — free, for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. It is a player for the sources you already have: you add your own Xtream account or M3U playlist. It carries no channels and no subscriptions of its own.
Install the TestFlight app from the App Store first, then open the link. Accept the invitation on an iPhone, iPad or Mac; the Apple TV app then installs from the TestFlight app on the same Apple Account.
What it does
- Your sources. An Xtream account or an M3U playlist. The catalogue stays on the device, the credentials in the Keychain.
- Live TV. On now, a guide grid and a full schedule. Favourites, your own channel lists, filters by category and language.
- Films and series. Posters, descriptions and ratings arrive on their own. Several versions of a title collapse into one card. Continue watching and next episode.
- Sport. Fixtures, live scores and tables. Follow your teams, and it tells you which of your channels is showing a match.
- Home. Pick a few interests once and the start screen fills itself. It keeps learning, and you can switch that off.
- Player. Picture in Picture, AirPlay, subtitle and audio track selection, sleep timer.
- Apple TV. The same app on the big screen, set up from your iPhone.
- Around it. Widgets and Siri shortcuts, sync through your own iCloud, English and German.
What I am looking for
- Apple TV. That target has had the least testing — navigation, focus, playback.
- Your provider. Setup with an Xtream account or M3U playlist: does the catalogue import cleanly, is the guide right?
- Playback. Channels that stall, drop out, play without sound, or refuse to start.
- Things that feel wrong. Awkward flows, missing options, anything you expected and did not find.
Critical feedback is the point. Please do not send provider credentials, playlist URLs or screenshots containing them.
How to send it
Either way works:
- TestFlight — shake the device or tap Send Beta Feedback; the screenshot and device details come along automatically.
- GitHub — open an issue, which lets you follow the fix.
- Email — giuseppe.a.giglio@proton.me.
Device, iOS or tvOS version, app version (Settings › About), what you did and what happened — that is usually enough to reproduce it.
Good to know
- TestFlight builds expire after 90 days. If the link above stops working, a newer build is on the way — check back here.
- Beta testers through the public link are anonymous to me. I see no name and no email, so this page and the issue tracker are the only way I hear from you.
- No account, no server of mine: favourites and watch progress sync through your own iCloud. See Privacy.
